User Services

James Fadden, Director

James started at the College working with faculty of the social sciences in the summer of 2000. He became director of the User Services group in the summer of 2007. As director he works with a talented team of technology professionals to support desktop computing needs, technology currency and technology training.

Tim Healy, Technology Manager

Tim worked for many years as a PC technician before moving into his current role a Technology Manager. In his current role, he applies his experience and expertise making sure that desktop technology is deployed and working across campus. He provides leadership to the User Services staff for all issues regarding hardware troubleshooting and maintence. Tim also serves as the liaison to various technology vendors and consults on a variety of hardware purchases.

Andrew McMillin, User Support Specialist

Andrew joined the College in October of 2008 as User Support Specialist. He is a recent graduate of Mercyhurst College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts by majoring in Business, Computers and Information Technology. Andrew's main responsibilities include front-line user support, being the lead resource for software questions, and assists the Technology Manager with computer configuration and testing.

Phil Reinhart, User Support Specialist and Resnet Technican

Phil is a versital employee who has served the college in a variety of roles including computer technician and Help Desk manager. In the summer of 2007 he reinvented himself again when he became responsible for the residence hall network (aka Gatornet). He still provides frontline support and assists with the student work force and is a vital part of the User Services team.

Doug Varee, Services Supervisor

Doug orginially joined the User Services group in the Fall of 2007 as a User Support Specialist and now serves as the Services Supervisor. Doug comes to us from the K-12 sector with experience supporting technology at the district and Intermediate Unit levels. Doug coordinates the student workforce, provides frontline user support, and serves as the point person for technology classroom problems.

The User Services staff relies on close working relationships with the IT professional in Administrative Information Services, Technical and Network Services, and Instructional Technology to support desktop computing needs across campus.
