Employee email addresses are created using their fullname, which is their first name and last name, separated by a dot with the allegheny domain added (e.g., joseph.smith@allegheny.edu). In addition to your default full-name "dot" email address, Allegheny employees may also use an optional email address that is based on their network username.
For example John Smith would have a default email address of john.smith@allegheny.edu and an optional email address of jsmith@allegheny.edu. The initial fullname email address is based on your name as it is listed with the human resources office. Employees may request a change in their fullname email address by using this form.
Email sent to your fullname email address AND your username email address will both be received in the same inbox when you check your Allegheny email.
Employee computers are initially set up to send email using the username email address. If you would like to change your Eudora settings so that your email is sent from your fullname email address, follow the instructions below.
On the Eudora menu, click Tools > Options

Click the Getting Started icon at the top of the left column and enter your fullname email address in the Return Address box. Click OK.

All email composed in Eudora will now show your fullname email address in the From: area.

Note: You may need to follow this procedure again in the future if you get a new computer or run the Re-Login script to revert to your default email settings.
