Accessing your Account from your Windows Personal Computer

You will need an FTP program on your computer in order to access your account from your personal computer. There are several free ftp programs available for download. One such program is Core FTP Lite, which is free for personal and educational use.

You can download the latest version of Core FTP Lite here.

There is also a tutorial available describing how to use Core FTP Lite to access your account. Students should use hercules.allegheny.edu for the Server name when accessing their accounts using Core FTP Lite from their personal computers.

Note: Some windows users may still be using the older program AceFTP to access their Allegheny account. For those users we provide an AceFTP tutorial.
